Station Manager – Rainoil Filling Station

Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily station operations, including fuel sales (Premium Motor Spirit, Automotive Gas Oil, Dual Purpose Kerosene), non-fuel products, and essential services.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales, volume, and revenue goals.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate station staff, including pump attendants, cashiers, and support teams.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, fire safety standards, Department of Petroleum Resources guidelines, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee inventory management, stock control, and prevention of product loss or discrepancies.
• Maintain station cleanliness, equipment functionality, and overall brand representation.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales reports.
• Build strong relationships with local customers, fleet operators, and corporate clients.
• Implement sales promotions and marketing strategies to increase foot traffic.
• Manage station finances, including cash handling, banking, and expense control.

Requirements

• Minimum OND/HND or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in fuel station management or retail operations specifically within the oil & gas downstream sector
• Strong understanding of fuel retail operations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in the industry
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate staff effectively
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with basic POS/inventory systems
• Valid driver's license is an advantage
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Preferred Skills: Previous experience in managing a fuel retail outlet
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Knowledge of non-fuel retail operations such as shops, car washes, lubricants, etc.
• What We Offer: Competitive salary range: ₦1,800,000 – ₦3,500,000 per annum (depending on experience and location) plus performance bonuses and incentives
