In the role of Relationship Manager for Financial Institutions, you will manage a portfolio of key partners—guiding and advising them while collaborating to scale innovative financing solutions for water and sanitation. You will act as a consultant, business advisor, problem-solver, and relationship steward for these partners. This position is perfect for a strategic, analytical, and partnership-focused professional with extensive experience in Africa's financial services industry. What You'll Do Account Management You will drive impact by leading relationships with banks, microfinance institutions (MFIs), savings and credit cooperatives (SACCOs), and other financial partners—promoting strong collaboration and shared success. Through regular communication, joint planning, and proactive performance tracking, you'll enhance engagement, ensure exceptional service, and foster long-term partnerships that promote access to safe water and sanitation. Business Development You will expand partnerships by identifying new opportunities to grow Water.org's footprint across both established and emerging financial institutions. By engaging key decision-makers, you will ignite product innovation, enhance financing solutions, and drive portfolio growth. With a strategic and proactive mindset, you will cultivate a robust pipeline of mission-aligned partners committed to scaling access to safe water and sanitation. Business Metrics + Reporting You will evaluate success by monitoring partner performance, portfolio growth, fund utilization, and progress towards impact objectives. Through timely reporting and clear, data-driven insights, you will equip both internal teams and external partners with the information necessary to refine strategies, improve outcomes, and accelerate impact.
