Join Odixcity Consulting as a Sign Language Health Instructor in Port Harcourt, Rivers. This role is essential for improving health literacy among the deaf and hard-of-hearing community through effective education. As a Sign Language Health Instructor, you will create and deliver health education sessions using sign language, ensuring that the content is accessible and engaging for all participants.
In your daily responsibilities, you will teach various health topics, such as hygiene and nutrition, while developing lesson plans that cater to diverse levels of sign language proficiency. Your role will involve facilitating interactive training sessions, assessing participants' understanding, and collaborating with program coordinators to meet training objectives. You will also maintain attendance records and promote health awareness within the community.
To qualify for this position, you should possess proficiency in sign language, preferably Nigerian Sign Language, and have a background in health education or a related field. Previous teaching experience, particularly with individuals with hearing impairments, is highly beneficial. This is a one-month contract position, and candidates must be available for the entire duration.
