Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our dedicated team in FCT Abuja, Nigeria. The Finance Assistant will perform essential finance functions, including clerical work and accounting tasks, to ensure accurate financial record-keeping across all transactions in compliance with Malaria Consortium’s financial policies for both field offices and the Abuja headquarters. This role will be responsible for the timely submission of monthly financial reports from both field and country offices, including payment vouchers, bank details, financial correspondence, and more. In addition, the Finance Assistant will ensure organization and efficiency within the finance department. This position involves managing all documentation related to payments and providing guidance to the Project Manager, Technical Officer, and Financial Accountant on various financial matters, while also voicing concerns along with proposed solutions within their authority. The Finance Assistant will be an essential member of the team, either in the State or in Abuja, reporting to the State Finance Officers as well as the Abuja Finance Officers for the Country Office. The role requires direct interaction with other team members, including operations officers, administrative officers, and technical staff in the field office. Furthermore, the Finance Assistant will work collaboratively with stakeholders, local government, and community members in the state and will indirectly report to the Hub Accountants.
