Overview

Responsibilities

• Cash Handling & Transactions:
• Process customer payments accurately using POS systems, cash, or transfer.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change when necessary.
• Ensure proper cash balancing at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers politely and respond to inquiries.
• Ensure a pleasant and professional checkout experience.
• Handle customer complaints or escalate issues to supervisors when required.
• Record Keeping & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate daily sales records.
• Prepare cash summaries and hand over daily collections to the accounts team.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of transaction records.
• Store/Operational Support:
• Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.
• Work closely with sales or store staff to ensure smooth transactions.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with POS materials.

Requirements

• OND or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar role.
• Basic understanding of accounting and cash management principles.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle fast-paced environments.
